The elk in this piece is from a photo my husband took at Rocky Mountain National Park. There was a herd of elk you could see every night in the park's meadow, and he was lucky enough to capture this shot. The vivid colors in the water inspired Prismatic Pond, along with the patterns formed by the ripples.
